Healthy Sugar Substitute... A List of Options!

 As an alternative to white sugar (sucrose), we can use other sweeteners, especially of natural origin, some more known than others: while sugar is refined and does not provide any nutrients other than calories, almost all the products on this list have extra properties that make them somehow a better option. These are considered healthy sugar substitute . A premise on sugar and health Each carbohydrate has a more or less strong cariogenic power because bacteria proliferate thanks to sugars: using a substitute for normal white sugar does not mean being able to neglect oral hygiene, on the contrary! Some products have, however, beneficial properties that make them preferable to sucrose. A golden rule is to drink water after taking sweets or sweeteners, so as to allow a first "washing" of the particles that remain attached to the surface of the teeth.
